    On April 3rd, 1973, Motorola worker Marin Cooper stood in Manhatan and made the first ever mobile phone call to the headquaters of bell labs that was in New Jersey. The first ever mobile phone call was made over 41 years ago. The first text message ever sent was "merry christmas"
