    One night on September 8, 1900, in Galveston, a hurricane hit and destroyed the whole city. This caused the whole city to be built and the city also got a new government. The new government inspired other cities government to copy it. Then the law banned alcohol so there can be less deaths around the world. In the 19020s women were finally given the right to vote. Then prohibition started from 1918-1931. Legislative reforms were passed in areas of labor, child labor, education, prisons, banking.

    World War I Continued

    The Germany sank a passenger ship right off the coast of Ireland and it had some war supplies. This enraged the Americans. Then Germany sent a letter to Mexico asking if they would help fight in the war and the British intecepted the letter and told America. This lead us into the war. They fought for about 2 years and then the Treaty of Versailles was passed and it ended the war.

    Then the war started when austria-hungary declared war on Serbia. Then there was two sides the Allied Forces( France, Great britain, Russia, Italy, Serbia, Belgium, and several other countries) and the Central Forces( Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria). The United States said they didnt was anything to do with the war. When the United States didnt see Francisco Vill as the leader of Mexico he crossed the border to Texas and started raiding villages and homes. Continues......

About the time the “New Deal” happened there was a ginormous dust storm that affected Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado and New Mexico and this was a huge decrease in crops for about 10 years.

    The war started when Germany invaded Poland. When this happened the US said they wanted to stay out of it because they were still in a depression but we did support Britain. Then Japan came out of nowhere and bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. We didn’t expect this because we were still in a peace treaty with Japan. Continued....

    World Was II Continued

    This is what brought us into the US. Then D-Day happened and it was the turning point of the war. This is when the Allied Forces invaded France along the beaches of Normandy. About a year after D-Day the US dropped a nuclear bomb on the city of Hiroshima and a couple days later the US dropped another nuclear bomb on Nagasaki. Then Japan surrenders after the second nuclear bomb was dropped and Germany had already surrendered before the atomic bombs.
