These were the first long distance ideas. 26 telocomunications companys companies in Europe joined together to make long distance calling possible. They alos made more channel availability, they made it so more than a couple of people could use the same chsnnel to talk in multiple private calls. -
Phone Advancements
One of the most popular phones at the time. It had ideas that we now use in our phones, the nokia was a mobile phone. The nokia was made by Microsoft, it had games and text, something that phones didnt have then. The battery would last for multiple days. -
Spreading
Many phone carriers like nokia and microsoft started to make more phones and sell more phones. Many people were able to get phones. Even though phones were mostly used for buisness still most people had a phone. -
Improvements
Phones were becoming more advanced in technologies. They were becoming better and easier to use. Many phone carriers and companys were coming up with ideas to make phones better. This lead to better phones. -
New Networks
Multiple companies had been working together to make better phone usage possible. They came out with the 3G network. Text was also able to be transmited. This was the beggining of texting. -
Motorola
A phone made just for calling, something you will see in older spy movies. The Motorola was similier to a flip phone. This was the start to a long line of Motorola. It was famous while it was around. -
Touch Screen
The Ericsson R380 was the one of the first phones with a touch screen. It was a large advancement for phones. Almost every phone we have today has a touch screen. Iphones, Androids, Blackberrys, etc.
