    The first credit card was made in 1950. It was invented by Ralph Schneider, Frank McNamara, Matty Simmon. This card allowed member to charge the cost of restaurant bills only.

    CBS was the one to instroduce the colored TV. You could only watch TV in black and white. Selling the colored TV's was difficult the in 1970 it started to boom.

    In the 1950's passengers jets entered the sevice for people. It was called the boeing 707. The boeing became most successful of it early manufactuers.
  • Hydrogen Bomb

    The Hydrogen bomb was made by Edward Teller. They tested the bomb at Eniwetok atoll in the Pacific. The test gave the United States an advantage in the Soviet Union.

    Dr. Jonah Salk devolped the vaccine. This helped people prevent the disease that would put them in a wheel chair. Now days the Polio cases are very rare.

    Cornelis Drebbel intvented and lauched the nuclear submarine. The Submarine was lauched in Groton, Connecticut. It helped fight in the World War 2.

    R.S. Ohl discovered that sunlight striking a wafer of silicon. could produce large numbers of free electrons. Three sientist created an array of several strips of sillicon and placed them into the sun, and it had free electrons that it let them use. They ended up calling it the first solar battery.

    Eugene J. Polley invented the first wireless Tv remote. This device made the cost of a tv go up $100. The TV originally cost $500 in 1955.

    Charles Ginsburg lead a group to invent the first video tape recorder. Ampex sold the first VTR in 1956 for $50,000. This allowed to capture live images.

    These created allosions that people have never seen before. You had to were special goggles to see the allusion. The older people were so exited to have this.

    It was the first sucessful plain paper photo copier. It weighed 648 pounds. It made 136 copies per hour. They shipped it with a fire extinguisher in case it got to hot.
