  • Warren G. Harding Presidency

    Elected March 4 1921. President Harding instituted conservative polices that minimized the governments role in the economy.
  • The Emergency Immigration Act

    In order to "preserve the idea of American homogeneity," limits on European immigration was introduced for the first time. These limits ensured that a quota of restricted annual immigration from any country remained at 3% of the residents from that same country.
  • Assembly Line

    Henry Ford enhanced the assembly line in his automobile factories which lead to mass production, improved working conditions and affordable cars for the working class.
  • Evolution teachings in school

    The Tennessee Butler Act made it illegal to teach any theory that denied the biblical teaching of Devine Creation of Mankind. The American Civil Liberties Inion challenged the Butler Act as an infringement of the freedom of free speech. AN ACLA teacher and coach, John Scopes, was tired and found guilty of teaching evolution in Tennessee.

    Charlies Lindbergh was the first person to fly across Atlantic Ocean in his monoplane the Spirit of St. Louis. As a result sea;; airplane industry began to blossom, and designed aircraft specifically for passenger transportation.
  • Inauguration of 1929

    President Hoover get sworn into office during the Stock market crash and the start of the Great Depression.
  • Farming during drought

    Due to farmers tilling during a drought, a great dust storm occurred known as the Dust Bowl which effected thousands of Americans.

    Franklin Roosevelt gets elected during the middle of the Great Depression.
