  • Washington Naval Conference

    The world's largest naval powers gathered in D.C to have a conference and discuss naval disarmament and ways to ease what was brewing with Easy Asia. This was also to help prevent another war.
  • Revenue Act

    This bill cut federal tax rates that also helped and established as the US board of tax appeals. Which was later known as United States Tax Court in 1942.
  • Lindbergh Crossing the Atlantic

    Lindbergh was an American pilot that was the first to solo a nonstop transatlantic flight. He started in New York on Roosevelt Field then flew and landed safely in Paris less than 34 hours later.
  • Stock Market Crash

    On what was called Black Monday, The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down 13 percent. Federal leaders weren't sure how to respond and how to fix it. The 20's was a tough time to bounce back from in the Stock Market.
  • Election of 1932

    Between President Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt, Hoover was defeated by Roosevelt in a landslide between the two.
  • Hitler in Power

    Hitler was the chancellor of Germany by winning in many Nazi Parties. He ruled until his death due to suicide which was in April of 1945. He wrote his book called Mein Kampf as well.
  • Twentieth Amendment changed

    This changed the Presidential Inauguration Date from what it was March 4th to January 20th.
  • Twenty First Amendment

    This amendment repeals the 18th amendment and put the end to the era of national prohibition of alcohol in the US. Now states cant sale as much amount of alcohol within their borders.
  • Gold Reserve Act

    The President had requested an end to the coinage of gold, all gold coins were to be taken and out into bars. Currency in gold was forbidden.
  • Social Security Act

    Signed Franklin Roosevelt, it created social security and safety for the elderly, unemployed and the disadvantaged. But the main reason for this was to pay financial benefits to retirees over 65.
  • Neutrality Act

    This act prohibits the use of arms, ammunition and any implements of war. To have any of these you are to purchase a license.
  • FDR is re-elected

    Japan invaded China because they lacked resources and china had them with also cheap labor.
  • US Housing Authority

    Also known as USHA which was federally created to lend money to states or communities with low cost for construction.
  • Fair Labor Standard Act

    This act created the right to minimum wage. Also when people would work over time it allowed them to work overtime but still get their pay check.
  • Hitler takes Austria

    Hitler has German troops march down into Austria and invades. The Austrian Nazis were made four the second time to take the Austrian government and unite the two nations to create one Nazi Germany.
  • WW2 begins

    Germany invaded Poland for the Danzing. The United Kingdom and France are guarantied to protect Poland in their time of need.
  • Fall of France

    France was invaded by Germany, they also invaded Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands during this time as well in WW2. France then declared war on Germany then following the German invasion of Poland.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The US base near Honolulu Hawaii was attacked by Japanese planes. Which was a turning point for America because this attack was what made America decide to join the War.
