    -complete violation of an individuals rights

    -oil tycoons / gambling politicians / bootlegging / murder-suicide / sexists president / and a large amount of cash set aside for bribery situations
    -this resulted in the first time a U.S. cabinet member serve jail time for a crime committed during their political service

    -lots of death so the US and Britain called for the creation of the organization to maintain postwar peace
