Prohabition in the United States
This event let the American people focus more on the important parts of their lives. It also increased the saftey of the citizens because people would not loose their inabitions. -
The 19th Amendment was Adopted
The adding of this amendment allowed equality between men and women begin. By allowing women to vote they started to truly govern themselves and that was always wanted. -
KDKA Radio
This radio station braodcasted the election one year and it allowed the people to know what was happened a lot sooner than by paper. It was a strictly a news station that informed on all things that were happening. -
Emergency Quota Act
This Act restricted the number of immigrants allowed from any country annually to 3% of the number of residents from that same country living in the United States as of the U.S. Census of 1910. THis made jobs more acceptable to the american people and more housing. -
Boll Weevil Infestation
THe boll weevil infestation was a diaster that stuck the southern crops. Not only did it demolish the amount of food for america, but it had a domino effect on stores and anyone with connections to stores. It also started the promotion of imports because the US needed to get food from some where. -
