    Ratified on January 16th, 1919 and fully taking effects on january 17th, 1920. The 18th amendment marked the prohibition of any alcoholic liquor. the intent of this amendment was to stop violence, but in fact brought illegal sales. Ironicallly, this brought more violence to the US

    The US did not join the League of nations. A part in the treaty stated that two-thirds vote had to be met. it never was met and the US never joined the league of nations despite President Wilson's Tenacious attitude.
