    A boll weevil is a beetle that feeds off of cotton buds and flowers. A female boll weevil can lay up to 200 eggs over a 12 day period. It cost the US cotton producers nearly $13 billion.

    The KKK was against African Americans, Mexicans, Japanese, Jews, and European immigrants. They were in surch of "pure" americans. By 1927 their activity diminished due to their leader going to jail for second degree murder of a women.

    Many people believed that Sacco and Venzetti were found builty because they were immigrants and radicals. There was no proof that the two had murdered the person, yet they were convicted of it. Charles Lindenburgh was the first person to be in New York one day, then be in Paris the next. His flight took 33 hours and 30 minutes.

    Herbert Hoover is elected U.S. president.
    He was the 31st pesident of the US. He was a strong supporter of the Prohibition, which is why many people did not vote for him in gthe 1932 election. He tried to combat the Great Depression by creating new work projects, such as the Hoover Dam.
