    Federal law that limited the number of immigrants admitted. Aimed to restrict Europeans and Asians.

  • Stock Market Crash

    The beginning of the Great Depression, devastated the economy.

  • Roosevelts Presidency

    Franklin Roosevelt was elected president, first of the four times he was elected.

  • 21st Amendment

    Ended prohibition.

  • The Works Progress Administration

    Known as WPA, government agency that helped the economy by allowing thousands of Americans to work for them.

  • World War 2

    With the invasion of Poland, the war is declared on Germany.
