During the Harlem Renaissance new trends came out such as music, art, and literature. Jazz was introduced by New Orleans native Louis Armstrong. A famous writer from that time was Alain Locke. -
The farm crisis
During the war the U.S. government made farmers produce more meat. After the war tho all of the European people had very little money to buy farm goods from the U.S. and it became a problem. Then the U.S. raised tariffs which made things even worse. -
The harden administration
Some members used their positions to sell government jobs. Shortly after harden’s death the news broke. The other famous scandal was the teapot dome scandal which made people dislike harden. Calvin Coolidge became president after Hardijg died. -

The Americans needed Europeans to start buying exports from them. So American diplomat Charles dawes negotiatioed an agreement with France, Britain, and Germany by which American banks would make loans to Germany that would enable it to make reparations payments. Then to end the weapon race, the U.S. invited representatives from eight separate countries to D.C. -

Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in 1928. This was a big deal cause it helped with women’s rights and showed their progression to becoming as powerful as men. America Earhart drastically improved people’s outlooks on how woman Can help make big changes in America. -
Mickey Mouse is born
Mickey Mouse debuted on November 18, 1928. Mickey Mouse really help make Disney an empire. He is the most known animated in the world today. Mickey Mouse changed the way animated characters were made back then and it showed how much we could use technology and how it was changing the world. -
Wall Street crash
In October in 1929 the stock market in the U.S. crashed causing many problems. This caused the Great Depression which lasted 10 years. The stock market never got as high as it was until 1954.
