The Teapot Dome Scandal was a bribery incident that took place in the United States. Secretary of the Interior Albert B. Fall leased Navy petroleum reserves at Teapot Dome and two other locations to private oil companies at low rates without competitive bidding. The leases became the subject of; Fall was later convicted of accepting bribes from the oil companies.

The 1929 Stock Market Crash signaled the Great Depression. The economy plummeted and unemployment skyrocketed. Although the crash wasn't the only cause of the Great Depression, it hasted the collapse of the economy and made the depression more severe.
