    During the first world war, there was a strong womens movement, so women had gained the right to vote. When the right was given, it had only applied to white women.

    By the third year of the war, that’s when the economy started to get better. That was until the Halifax explosion had happened. Off the ports of Halifax, two ships had collided into each other not only causing issues in the war, but on land too. It was known to be the biggest man-made explosion at the time.

The United States had believed punishing Germany might make them pay later, while France wanted Germany to pay money, and the British wanted Germany to pay harshly while making it fair.
