Effects: The reconstruction after the Civil War was slower than it was supposed to be because Lincoln had a plan prepared for the U,S.

It was the movement of 6 million africans out of the rural south to the urban northeast, midwest and West. It ended in the 1960s.

Causes: -There are many theories about why the great depression happened. Many theories say that it started as an ordinary recession. The world war ll was one of the largest and deadliest wars ever fought in world history. Effect: As a result of the World war ll, the Soviet Union and The United States became the two superpowers of the world, and the tension that arose between the two superpowers after came close to destroying humanity on several occasions. Key events: Nuclear weapons were used for the first time. Dates: Ended september 2nd 1945. Causes: Britain & France declared war on Germany because the invation of Poland. -

It was an attack led by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Effects: President Roosevelt declared war the day after. -

It enden in 1968. Causes: The people wanted freedom and the end of segregation. -Key People: Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus, and many african american people used her as an example of strenght and self-respect. -
The Vietnam War begins
It ended in April 30,1975. It occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The cause was that the United States wanted to free South Vietnam from communism. Effects: -58,193 soldiers died. -830,000 suffered of posttraumatic stress disorder. -At least 21,000 of the Vietnamese veterans became permanently disabled after the war. Also, one of the consequences of the Vietnam War in the U.S.A. was the "Hippie movement", people that protested in the streets against the Vietnam War and tried to stop it. -
