    Indurstrial Revolution
    The industrial revolution was a time from 1750 to the 19th century where there were massive changes to how people lived and their work. Some of these things included were agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transport and technology and these changes first started in the United Kingdom before spreading to around the world. The main change was that manual labor was being replaced with machines to do the work. This extended even further with the introduction of steam power for machines and trains.

    The Spinning Jenny was made by James Hargreaves in 1764. The main use of it was to reduce the effort and time in making and producing yarn. It allowed workers to make up to 80 spools of yarn at once, and then later, 120.

    The Declaration of Independance was intoduced to the 13 American colonies, as it was at the time and this Declaration was the bonding off those 13 colonies. It stopped them fighting each other and it made them independant from the British Empire. This Declaration was the reason the United States of America is here today.

    Alessandro Volta invents a method of storing electrical currents and he called it a battery. Although he made a way of storing these currents, the battery he made could not store a lot of them. After he made another invention the year later called the metallic arc, he could provide a way of storing a steady amount of currents.

    The Federation of Australia was in 1901. The 6 states of Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland came to join the Federation. In that same year, Northern Territory was created and was added to the Federation. Federation came to Australia to they could form one nation and be united.
  • First Man Controlled Flight

    First Man Controlled Flight
    The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur Wright, on the 17th of December, successfully created the first man controlled plane called the Flyer. Their first successful flight was achieved at 10:35am. The flight went for 12 seconds and went for 120 metres before landing. After 4 more successful flights, the plane was knocked over by a large gust of wind and would take several months to fix so that was the end of the testing for now.

    First Ford T Model
    In 1908, Henry Ford, created the first auto mobile that went onto the market. Although he did not invent it, he put it in the economic reach of the average American. The starting price of the Model T was $825 and over 10 000 were sold in the first year and this changed the way people got around. Four years later, he dropped the price to $525 and sales went to a sky high. At the time, he owned 48% of the automobile market.
  • Titanic

    Titanic
    Titanic was the largest ship in 1912 at the time and it could hold up to 3000 passengers and crew. On the 15th of April, there was an incedent though. The Titanic hit an iceberg and caused a major hull breach which caused it to sink bow first. 700 people survived and 1500 staff and cruisers lost their lives.

    On this day, the 28th of July, was the day Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated by an assassin from Germany and this started WWI.
