He decided he would just let things go the way they go and keep his best friend as a best friend. Jeremy was the weirdest kid ever. We used to be such good friends when we were younger but he has changed so much. I will always remember when we used to share popsicles. Malik lived with his five sisters and his single mother. She couldn't afford to get him new tenis shoes even though his were 2 years old with holes in them. Some kids at school were bullying because of his shoes. He asked his mom again if she could get him the "popular" shoes. He went to the Bullets (a gang in the hood) to get the shoes. They went to a basketball court and beat up a boy that they didn't know for his shoes. Malik told them to give them back. You cant always get what you want.
