    The Magna Carta was the first document to ever challenge the idea of an absolute monarchy. The rights the people had (only rich at first) could not be taken away and that paved the way for the rights for all people, poor or rich. The Magna Carta also established the right to a trail by jury which would become an important concept in the United States Constitution.

    The Mayflower Compact was an important document because it kept the colonists from living in a state of nature. Also, it was kind of the first constitution written in America, which helped the people form a working community.

    The Declaration of Independance might be the most important document ever written. It was the first document to establish a separation from the mother colonies. All other separations relate back to it. Also, the declaration was greatly significant to America's history because it was the paper that told Britian we didn't want to be joined with them any longer. Americans still celebrate the signing of the declaration to this day.
