    A time of severe dust storms causing damage to farms and the atmosphere. It was caused by draughts and farmers not handling their crops properly.
  • The Bonus Army

    The Bonus Army
    It was an assembly of 17,000 World War 1 veterans and their family at Washington D.C who demanded their bonus they were promised for fighting in World War 1. Although they were promised the bonus in 1945. 4 people died and 1,047 people were injured.

    When Hindenburg, the president, died, Hitler took up power and became dictator. The people believed that he would lead them out of the poverty that World War 1 put them in.

    The stock market crash of 1929 happened about 8 months after he took office. He tried to do volunteer work but the country was still in economic ruin, so he was highly blamed for the Depression.

    It was a mass murder in the Japanese city Nanjing. Thousands of Chinese people and disarmed soldiers were murdered and 20,000-80,000 women were raped by soldiers of the IMperial Japanese Army.
