Moros y Cristianos
There are over 150 of these Moros y Cristianos that celebrate the Battle of Alcoy that was in 1275. The festival takes place of the week April 21st to April 24th. During the festival 28 armies do “Battle.” The people who “Battle” have count less fundraisers to be able to fight in there home town, Alcoy, Alicante, to “Battle.” -
La Feria de Abril
It is said that in 2011 the celebration will be held on the week of May 3rd to the 8th, but it is usually held in the last full week of April. During the celebration there is dancing, men bull fight at the famous Plaza de Toros de Maestranza. And at noon on every day all of the women of the town ride in bleach white horses that ride around the whole town. Castellers de Vilafranca
This celebration happens usually in late summer, early fall. It was founded on the September of 1948 by Oriol Rossell. During this celebration they create human towers. There is different types of tower that they create very dangerous for them on the dismounts because they cam get up to 9 human levels high.
