The sugar act reduce taxes on molasses but increased the enforcement of it. The increase in enforcement reduced smuggling but disrupted local business and made the post-war economic depression in the colonies worse.

The stamp act taxed all papers and documents in the colonies. Many colonists refused to pay the taxes when this act came out.

This was used to reassure the stamp act to keep using it have it remain effective. The effect of this was the NO taxation until representation act to oppose it.

Goods that were imported to the colonies would be taxed such as paper or tea. Colonists dislikes this act because yet again it added more taxation and causing more complaining.

This law was made to give the government full control over imported teas. In result of this we had the Boston Tea Party.
