Spanish nationalists spark the Spanish Civil war, led by Generals Goded, Mola, and Francisco Franco. They led a revolt against the new republic which starts the Spanish Civil war. This is historically significant because it causes tension in Spain and its neighboring countries. -
Spanish Nationalists Bomb Guernica
The town of Guernica is bombed. Civilians are killed and houses are destroyed, and1500 died and 800 are wounded. This was historically important because it made the Spanish Civil War worse by taking it to a whole new level of total war and worsened tensions. -
