After looking for a year Kisa, a friend found out that Sookan's father and brothers were safe. -
running away
Sookan's family finally found out a way to run away woth one of the best guides. They might get killed though because to the Russians who have taken over Korea think runaways going to the south or people who don't follow them as traders and they kill them. -
the other side of the fence
When Sookan was running away she souldn't find her mother and lost her guide. Luckly a few weeks later an old man offered help and by his directions she made it under the fence, showing the border line of north and south Korea. -
the family back together
Finally after Sookan, her younger brother, and her mother ran away, Sookan's family'sfinally back together. Sookan's mother was going to be sent to russia to work as a slave, But secretly was a russian guard's maid servent. She finally escaped later. -

Kisa, a friend, and Sookan's aunt tiger were found as a trader in north Korea and were hanged.
