Japan attacked Manchuria by blowing up part of a railway. They disguised themselves as chinese soldiers. The United States found out abou this takeover and failed to take charge.

Hitler violated the Treaty of Vrsailles by having a air force and military draft. He increased his army from 100,000 to 550,000 troops. Doing this he violated the treaty automatically.

Hitler sent Greman troops into the Rhineland. Even though RHineland was part of Germany it was a demilitarized zone. According to the Treaty of Versailles no weapons were allowed in this area or fortifications.

The Soviet Union and Gerrmany signed a Nazi-Soviet Nonaggression Pact. This meant that neither country would declare war on eachother for the next 10 years. Although the Nazis broke the pact by invading the Soviet Union in June 1941.

Poland was invaded by German forces both land and air forces. Poland asked Britain and France forces for help against German forces. This was the start of WWll.

Great Britain and France declare war on Germany to honor Polands borders. They had given Germany a warning that if they did not stop with invading polish territory a war would break out. British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, announced on the radio of September 3rd that he declared war on Germany.

Invasion of FranceGermany attacked France in the lower countries. Some of the French army was unprepared for the attck and was invaded by explosive bombs. On June 25th the Government lost control, 7 weeks after the invasion had began.

Italy's leader, Benito Mussolini, declared war on Britain and France. Troops were not mobilized into France until the 20th of June who hed the Italian force at bay easily. WIth France and Britain having been declared war agaisnt, the US said they would help them with the resources they needed.

Pearl harborJapan launches suprise attack on the United States. The Japenses detroyed 20 American vessals inlcuding 8 massive battleships. Also 200 American planes were destoryed along with 2,000 dead American soilders.

After the attack at Pearl Harbor, FDR walked straight to the house of representives and asked for a declaration of war at noon. By 4 o clock FDR gave his presidential speech " The Day that will live in Infamy" declaring that we were now at war with japan.

Germany trrops in Italy were the last to surrender in Italy. Hitler committed suicide and they drop out from war. With Germany now out of WWll, this only left Japan to be defeated by all of the Allies. This ended all war throughout Europe known as V-E Day (Victory in Europe Day).

Japan signed their agreement to end WWll. After being attacked by two bombs fromt he U.S. they admit their defeat. This day is known at V-J Day (Victory in Japan Day). This marked the end of war all throughout the world.
