This was a night when many Nazi germans attacked and burned over 1000 synnogogs and over 7000 Jewish buissnesses. They killed many jewish people, and blamed it on the jews. Over 30,000 jews were arrested and put in concentration camps. This was just the start of one of the worst times in history for the jewish people. -

Operation Sealion
Operation Sealion was Hitlers plan to invade Great Britain. To carry out the operation the Germans needed to have air and water superiority, which the germans had niether at the time. Therefore Operation was postponed and later never carried out. If this was carried out it might have changed the war completely and the world today. -
Pearl Harbor
This is the day that the Japanese bombed Hawaii. it was a suprise attack that caught the United states completely off gaurd. The Japanese launched two waves of attack and destroyed 188 US aircrafts. As Japanese commanders called off the third wave, the Japanese supreme ruler thought to himself. We have just woke up a sleeping giant. -
Operation Barbarossa
This is the that hitler declared an undercover operation against the Soviet Union. Hitler was hoping to catch the soviets off gaurd and take the three main cities of Russia. He would have succeeded if not for the brutal winter of the Motherland. The winter was the only reason the Nazis did not conquer the Soviets. -
Battle of Midway
This was the most important battle of the Pacific Campaign, aswell as the turning point in the whole war against Japan. The US intercepted a Japanese fleet headed for Hawaii. They then caught the Japanese by surprise and detroyed the fleet leaving damage that could not be prepared. This put the Japanese on the defensive for the rest of the war. -
Operation torch
This is the day that the United States entered Africa. This was the way the United States and Great Britain opened up a new front against the Nazi's. The soviets had begged the US and GB to do this so that it will put less pressure on the soviet front. This operation brought the end of axis powers having control in Northern Africa. -
Meeting in Teheran
A meeting Between the Allies leaders, Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill. The three met to determine how they will invade southern france in the fall. They also talked about how they would join the fight against Japan after Germany was defeated. -
Battle of the Bulge
This was the Germans last chance of survival. They tried to split the United states and English armies by driving right through the middle. It was a surprise attack by the germans, but as the germans tried to drive through the Allies, they were crushed by the overload of defenses and driven back into germany. This was the major turning point of the war because it crushed the moral of the German soldiers and they lost there will to fight. -
VE Day
This Day is known as victory in Europe. It marks the officail day of when the Nazi's surrender. May 8th is the day that the nazis signed the Act of military surrender. Even though hitler commited suicide about 9 days ealier, the Nazis took 9 days to surrender and sign the treaty. -
VJ day
This day officailly ended World War 2. Even though in america, September 2nd is the day we celebrate, August 15 is the day the japanese surrendered. It was abourd the battleship, The USS missouri that the officail document was signed that marked the end of this horific war.
