    Canada joins the fight, having only volenteers initially sent over seas due to the lack of preperation in Canadas work force.
  • British Troops Flee from Dunkirk in Massive evacuation

    Code named operation dynamo,was the evacuation of allied troops from the shores of Dunkirk due to being cut off by German forces.
  • France Surrenders to Germany

    Hitlers Blitzkreig pushes French to English Channel forcing not only their military but 10 million refugees fleeing and retreating,Eventually forcing them to surrender.
  • Battle of Britian

    The aerial battle between the British airforce and the German Luftwaffe protecting British airspace from attacks. Having the advantage of radar, the British were able see the impending attacks and defend their terrritory
  • Germany Invades its former ally, Russia

    Largest military movement of WWII. Having the land would provide a stable and sustainable areas to stay dominant. Although the attacks were long and feirce, the SS were able to defend their land.
  • Canadian Troops Arrive in Hong Kong

    Royal rifles of Canada and the Winnipeg Grenadiers were ordered to prepare fro service in the Pacific.
  • Japan Attacks U.S. Pearl Harbour

    Japanese Kamikze Pilots attack the U.S. Naval base at Pearl Harbour in Hawaii.
  • U.S. Enters the War

    After the Attack on Pearl Harbour, the U.S. declares war on Japan with Germany and Italy soon to follow.
  • Battle of Hong Kong

    Known as the fall of Hong Kong, it was the first battle of the Pacific Campaign, having Japan show harsh acts of aggression and brutal tactics.
  • Canadians Vote 3 to 1 in Favour of Constription

    After heavy canadian casualties occured the need for conscription once again was apparent. Despite Priminister King's promise to not implement conscription, a Plebiscite was held revealing a vote 3 to 1 for constription. Quebec was the only place to have a majority against this vote. Although tensions between the English and French were high, conscription was implemented.
  • Dieppe raid ends in Disaster for Canadain Troops

    The operation goal was to sieze and hold the area for a short time, however the objective was not met due to heavy enemy fire and obsticles (land mines) blocking their path acompanied by terrible allied renforcements led to high loss for the canadians (60%).
  • Allies Invade Sicily

    Codename operation Husky where the allied forces took Sicily from the Axis powers in a large airborne and anphibious campaign.
  • D-Day

    The allied invasion of Normandy turning into the largest seaborne operation in military history. Becoming a key turning point leading to the victory of the war.
