    Germany invades Poland
    Germany bombed Poland. It was lead by the Nazis, part of Slovacks and the Soviet Union. There were 1,300 aircrafts involved.
  • Battle of Atlantic

    Battle of Atlantic
    This battle lasted a long time period. That lasted till 1945. One of their main thoughts was we have to get our stuff over to Europe. Britain was having more than millions of imported goods being sent so they could survive and fight in the war, but Germany was wanting to keep food and war materials from them. The Allies had the victory for this battle. The German did not have a succesful blockade, 175 of there ships were sunk and loss of 783 U-Boats.
  • Operation Barbarossa

    Lasted around 7 months. Hitler was the cause of this from the start. Hitler broke the non aggression pack, so then he diecides to attack the Soviet Union, but the Soviet Union knew this was going to happen, so the allies and the soviet union partner up. This war was covered up from the North Cape to Bllack Sea.

    Lasted around 3 years. The German army came together to surround the Leningrad . After a lot of fighting the Germans finally get to the Soviet Union ground. by the 1944 the Soviet Union finally got the Germans off their land by their sweeps. The Soviet union lost a lot of their population power that they had and goods that was going and was hard for them to regain it back.
  • Attack on Peral Harbor

    More than over hundred Japanese attacked the American Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. Over 2,000 American sholiders died during the attack. 20 warships and 200 aircrafts were destoryed. It also destoryed isolationism
  • Bataan Death March

    The Japanese got the surrenders of the filipnos and americans and they were forces to march 65 miles from Mariveles. They had 100 people or so in different amount of groups. Many had died within the 5 days because of how they were treated from either starvation, deases, or being beaten. America adventually took on the defeat.
  • Battle of Coral Sea

    Battle of Coral Sea
    Lasted 4 days. Whcih also was the first air-sea battle. The reason for this fighting was because Japenese wanted to took owndership of the sea. Once they got their the Americans ruined their wants by attacking them on sea. In the end the Japanese lost many of their people and planes so they suffered a lost and the Americans got a win.
  • Battle of Midway

    The Americans ended up winning the war against Japan. That lasted 4 days. The Americans didn't have the same amount of people like the Japanese did, but that didn't stop them. Japan eneded up loosing 292 aircrafts and lost 4 carriers. While the Americans lost 145 air-crafts and 300 casualites.
  • Battel of Guadalcanal

    Battel of Guadalcanal
    The U.S Marines gave the Japanse and attacked them and gained control of the air base. The Japanese lost two thirds of their 31, 400 army troops and the U.S lost 2,000 sholiders from 60,000. Both of them lost a great amount of ships during this war.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    The rest of the German troops that were in the Soviet City began to surrender to Red Army. The Victory humiliated Hitler. The forces of Germany invaded the alliles of the Soviet Union.Although Hitler wanted to end the fighting and war in the Eastern Front. The two importantance was that it was a majoy indrustrail city on the Volga River.

    Lasted close to a month. The Italin Government forces Bentio Mussillini to resign from his spot. This was going to be the finaly defeat from the Nazi Germany. The Allies were wanting to attack from the northwest coast of France.

    Lasted to August 1944. Also known as D-DAY. American troops crowed the beaches of Normandy. Known as the largest seaborne invasion.
  • Battle of Leyte Gulf

    Lasting three days. This is the second battle of the Philippine Sea. the US noticed what the Japanese first plan was to do was to move from the north to Sibuyen Sea. The US began to attack before they made the move. The US. sank two cruisers.
  • Yalta Conference

    Lasted around 7 days. They were wanting Germany to surrender. Stallin even offered to permit free elections within the Eastern Europe and anyone who wanted to enter the Asain war against Japan.
  • Battle of Iwo Jima

    Lasting over a month. The US wanted to gain rights to the whole entire island because it had better advatages for fighting because it is on higher grounds. During this war Japanese lost more people in the fight then what the US did. At the end of the battle the US flag stands up at the top showing victory for the US.
  • Firestorm Raid of Tokyo

    Firestorm Raid of Tokyo
    Which lasted longer than 3 hours. The US started bombing Tokyo into summison, but they knew they won't surrender, but that does not stop the US. This bombing killed up to 100,000. The US dropped over 2,000 bombs against the Japanese.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    Battle of Okinawa
    Lasting over 2 months. This battle was the largest landing force battle in the Pacific. The US was getting closer to Japan which made it easier on them. The Allied had lost 14,009 that fought. Defenses lined up along the coast line. Both leaders from each sides of the war was killed.
  • VE Day " V Day"

    The Allies celebrated the defeat of the Nazi Germany and the death of Hilter. Great Britain and the United States got to celebrate vicitory in Europe Day. This was the end of the six years of tourcher.
  • Japan Surrenders

    The Japan Air Force and the Navy was wiped out. There was a lot of bombing going on. The surrender was aborad the U.S.S Missouri. For it was suppose to be a peaceful government. There were 50 Allied generals there during this surrender.

    Lasted well over a year. This was intended to bring down the Nazi war criminals down. There was 13 trials that had to been done. Hilter was never at the trial due to his death. The others were sentences to death or escaped the trials.
