    Nazis kept getting elected and were super popular, so they decided to make it the only political party in Germany.

    Hitler Becomes Fuhrer of Germany
    Fuhrer means "leader" in German, so basically, Hitler is now in complete control of Germany.

    Radar is Invented
    Radar is an important thing even now. It originated during WWII when they found out how to bounce energy waves off objects in the sky, which in turn, told them the location of that object. It was very effective in preparing cities for air raids, so attackers lost the element of surprise. Now, we use it to detect potential attackers on the other side of the planet.

    During WWI, Germany was in possession of Polish land, but it was taken away from them in terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Germany decided to take Poland back by force.

    This was a three month long conflict between the air forces of both Britain and Germany. Amazingly enough, Britain won, Britain is so resilient.

    This was a long and brutal period when, for eleven weeks, Germany bombed London every single night. Winston Churchill was brave through the whole thing and stood his ground.
  • Pearl Harbor Attacked by Japanese

    Pearl Harbor Attacked by Japanese
    This was an attack on Pearl Harbor executed by the Japanese Axis. It was a terrible day that pushed America into WWII.
  • Japanese Americans Relocated

    Japanese Americans Relocated
    In lieu of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were considered traitors by Roosevelt, and he wanted them out of the country, just in case some of them were planing sabotage. Canada and Central America also took action against Japanese citizens.

    This was an invasion of France by the Allies from the beaches of Normandy in an attempt to take Europe from the Nazis. Heavy casualties were sustained by both sides.

    In 1945, near the end of WWII, soldiers were putting most of their focus on Japan and Asian Axis. Hitler had mostly given up, and was pretty much insane with disappointment and hatred.

    After FDR dies, Vice President Harry Truman becomes president. He gave the O.K. to bomb Japan twice. But he did help us win the war.

    Before penicillin was discovered, hundreds of soldiers were dying from the common cold out on the battle fields. But when scientists realized that you could extract a certain fungus from certain substances, they began making it in massive amounts, and sending it to the army. Instantly, prospects changed, and soldiers stopped dying as much.

    This was a time of celebration for people all over Europe, because it marked the end of the war with Germany.

    In an attempt to subdue Japan, America decided to drop a massive nuclear warhead on Hiroshima, a city in Japan. The blast affected thousands of people. Only 80,000 people died from the initial blast, but afterwards, the death toll rose to almost 200,000 because of radiation poisoning and cancer.

    When Japan didn't surrender after Hiroshima was bombed, America tried again with another bomb, dropped this time, on Nagasaki. It almost as detrimental as Hiroshima, and still the worst thing America has done. Only 150,000 people died form immediate and aftermath effects.
