    Took place in north Africa and included battles fought in the deserts between the allies and axis powers

  • The Lend-Lease Act

    Set up a system that would allow the United States to lend or lease war supplies to any nation deemed "vital to the defense of the United States"

  • The Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese mounted an airstrike attack on the navy base of Pearl harbor destroying many ships with the target of the US aircraft carries that weren't there

  • The Battle of the Coral Sea

    Major naval battle between the Japanese and the United States and Australia

  • The Battle of Midway

    A major naval battle in the pacific theater between the Japanese and US

  • The Battle of Guadalcanal

    A military campaign fought on and around the island of Guadalcanal in the Pacific

  • D-Day

    The beach landings of the allies' armies in Germany.

  • The Battle of the Bulge

    A Major German offensive campaign on the western front

  • The Battle of Okinawa

    The last major battle of WWII and one of the bloodiest. Many US troops descended on the island of Japan and won.
