  • Kristallnacht

    The riot of German people and military against the German Jewish population. English translates to "Crystal Night."

    A battle taken place in Dunkirk France between the Allies and Germany. Battle was included as an effort regain France on the Western Front.

    Starting in March of 1940, France was under siege by the Germans. France fell to Germany on the 25th of June, 1940.

    The Royal Air Force defended its home country from the attacking German Air fleet. The allies protected Britain for the most of 4 months during the year of 1940.

    A document that was presented by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the British Head of State, Winston Churchill. This document stated the British and US war aims during the course of WWII.
  • Pearl Harbor

    An attack on the US base at Pearl Harbor, carried out by the Japanese, brought the US into the war.
  • Battle of Coral Sea

    The Battle of Coral Sea was a major naval battle between the Japanese and the naval and air forces of the US and Australia.
  • Battle of Midway

    Naval battle between the Allies and the Japanese. Just a matter of days fallowing Pearl Harbor, The US met the Japanese entirely out numbered. The US had valuable information which gave them an advantage of an ambush, which miraculously won them the battle.

    Soviet Union fought for the control over the southern Russian city of Stalingrad, under control of Nazi Germany and its allies. Considered one of the largest and bloodiest in the History of WWII.

    The Allies land on Normandy beach. One of the most brutal battles in WWII and one of the most costly.

    A series of 13 trials held in Nuremberg Germany between 1945 and 1949. Trials to bring Nazi war criminals to justice who where charged mostly with "crime against the peace," and "crime against humanity."

    Major US victory over the Japanese at the island of Iwo Jima. Began in February 1945 and last through March of 1945.

    On the same dawn of August 6, 1945, the United States unleashed another nuclear strike over Nagasaki Japan.
  • Atomic Bomb Dropped on Hiroshima

    On the morning of August 6, 1945, the United States air forced released a nuclear bombing over Hiroshima.
  • V-J Day

    The day President Truman marked as the end of WWII. The Japanese surrender was held in Tokyo Bay aboard the USS Missouri.
