Winston Churchill becomes British prime minister after replacing Neville Chamberlain. Churchill was a good military leader who gave the people what they wanted and did as they please, Churchill began his leadership by fighting against the nazis alone, and said he would never surrender.

Italy entered World War II on June 10, 1940. Italy did this to fulfills its duty toward the Pact of Steel. The impact was that Italy lost a lot of soldiers and the war with the Axis Powers. This was important since World War II was one of the largest conflicts and Italy was involved.

The Japanese were seeking to control the Coral Sea with an invasion of Port Moresby in southeast New Guinea, but their plans were attacked by american planes. When the Japanese landed in the area, they came under attack and were defeated.
