The Bataan Death march was the forced march of 60-80 thousand American and Filipino prisoners of war for 65 miles to concentration camps and inevitably to there deaths. thousands of troops died due to exhaustion, dehydration, starvation and grievous violence. It emphasized the terrible treatment of the prisoners of war captured by Japanese troops because they despised anyone who surrendered for any reason. -
