The Holocaust, was the mass-genocide of Jews, disabled people and anyone who Nazi Germany leader Adolf Hitler believed did not fit his standard. Once Hitler got elected as president he created the concentration camps, these camps were used to torture and kill thousands of innocent people (gas chambers,pouring acid etc). The holocaust is very important because it showed how powerful and cruel Nazi Germany was.

This battle was one of the Soviet Unions greatest victory, the battle lasted almost one year (7 months). The German's plan for this battle was to cause the Soviet Union to weaken but the outcome left the Soviet Union with a huge advantage. -

In 1945, almost a year after the D-Day invasion Germany decided to surrender. Initially Germany only planned to surrender to the Western Allies but president Dwight Einsenhower demanded a full and complete surrender from Germany. -
The end of World War two was a very devastating end. The United States used their "secret weapon" which was an atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities in Japan. This atomic bomb killed estimated 40,000 innocent people. Nine days later Japan surrendered thus ending the war.
