Japense planes attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor. They wante to neutralize the US Pacific Fleet and protect Japan. Killed 2,300+ Americans and destoryed US battleships.

It was a naval and air battle which planes from American aircrafts blunted the Japanese. It happened because of Pearl Harbor. Japan lost carriers, crusiers, 292 aircrafts and suffered 2500 causlities.

Allied powers crossed English Channel and landed in beaches of Normandy. It was to end WWII and the Nazi domination in Europe. Ended Gemany/Hitler, forced Germany to fight. Hitler killed himself.

An attempt to push Allied front line west from northern France. Germany was trying to make a comeback. But it ended with Germany lossing more than they could take. 30,000 soliders died, 44,000 infantry forces died.
