In 1949,the islands of Britain were deadly in danger as Germany had invented the submarines named “U-Boats” and blasted the merchant marines along to Britain by lurked in Atlantic.The Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) was the third largest navy in the world,it was Canadians’ great contribution that getting vital supplies to Britain by sending about fifty supply ships accompanied by three corvettes.In 1942,the allies improved radar to ensured ships' safe.Germany lossed battle by great losses of U-Boats. -

Battle of Hong Kong
On December 7th, 1941, Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour, which bringing the US into the war. Canadian troops joined its allies along with British and Indians troops to defence Japanese attacks. Japanese fought back by throwing grenades at Canadian troops. On Dec 25, Canadian troops surrendered as they were running out of equipment, and they earned nothing but soldier’s losses and compensations from Japanese for the great losses. The survivors were enduring several years of hardships as prisoners. -
Canadians in the Air
On 1942,the allies had a plan to destroy the Germany fighting inspirits by bombing the cities from the air.Around May to July, Cologne and Hamburg were attacked about 8 times and 80,000 civilians were killed.However,the airforces were not a threat to Germany as they decided to fight under the rain of allies’ bombs.In fact of that Canada didn’t have big airforces in 1939 but at the end of the war it was the fourth largest in the world.After all, the war is the largest and longest(time) war in WW2 -
Battle of Dieppe
On August 19th,1942.The allies were planning sending Canadian and British troops to be a quick punch at the German stronghold.German troops hided themselves on the cliffs before the 5000 Canadians arrived at the French coast at Dieppe,and they mowed down the soldiers as they were running for place to hide.However,the allied sea and air supports were not enough to protect the soldiers on the wide coast.After all,there were only 2200 soldiers returned to British,the battle was known as disaster. -
Intalians Campaign
On July 10th, 1943. The allies made an assault from the sea, and and the First Canadians Divi-sion spearheaded the attack was known as “Operation Husky”. Later they landed on Sicily.Two months after, Allies forces pushed into Italian mainland.In December, Ortona(town,on East of Italy),was attacked by Canadian troops by blasted the attics. The process was slow but very successful to Canadians and it was remembered as Canada’s great contribution to Allies. Later, Allies captured Rome in June 1944. -

Normandy Landing
D-day,the largest seaborne invasion in history.In order to force Hitler surrender,Allies came all the way across the sea and landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th 1944(postpone one day).Allies thought Germany might not be prepared for the invasion thus misjudge caused a numerous number of Canadian and American soldiers into death.There were 29,000 American soldiers died and 101,600 were wounded during the battle.It was eventually task but eventually Hitler was caught with East&West. -

The Liberation of Europe
- Right after the landings at Normandy, Hitler got very frustrated by the surrenders of German generals, overran the rocket launching sites of his secret weapons (bomb V1 & rocket V2), the failure of against Allies by using 3000 tanks and Soviet had successfully attacked Berlin which on 8 May, 1945. By the time the Europe battle was over, Mussolini had been killed. As a matter of fact, Hitler shot himself on 30 April 1945. About 1945 May 1-10th , Germany surrounded.

The Pacific war
On 8 May 1945, the victory of Europe was celebrated. But the Pafic war was about to happen and the reason that the Pacific war happened is that Japan attacked the Pearl Habour. Japan sent 5,500,000 soliders joined the war but eventually Japan surrenderd by the impossible task of dealing with the Allies which made up by above thirty different countries. By the time Japan surrenderd, WWII ended.
