We knew that Japan was planning on attacking us, but we didn't know where. They then attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. They attacked us by air, bombing the base. We lost 19 ships, 150 planes, and 2400 people. We declared war on Japan the next day. The Axis declares war on us, due to the Tripartite Pact they signed earlier, then we declare war on the Axis.
