The Enabling Acts were an important event to WWII because they allowed Hitler to pass laws without having them to get voted on by the rest of the Reichstag. These acts allowed Hitler to have complete control of the Reich and continue his world domination. These acts allowed Hitler to place laws that suspended civil rights. With the Enabling Acts he able to tell the Jewish citizens that they couldn't bear arms, own businesses, or go to school. -

This upset the Allied countries since Hitler was breaking the Munich Pact once again. The taking of Poland is important because of the uproar it created. This attack upset Great Britain and France and made them declare war on Germany. -

The bombing of Pearl Harbor played a big role in WWII. During the attacks of Pearl Harbor, around 2,400 people were killed. This was a big shock to the United States since they were no expecting a direct attack from Japan. This is a key detail to WWII because due to this attack, the U.S. government declared war the following day with an almost unanimous vote. -
(8/23/1942-3/2/1943) This battle was when Germany and the Soviet Union fought in Stalingrad. This battle was very cold during the winter months in Russia. The Soviet Union won. This was very important because it stopped Hitler's plan of world domination from going east. Also, it allowed the Soviet Union to make themselves look better after WWI. -
This was the turning point of the war. The Allied soldiers came by boat to Normandy, France. With the allies able to take control of the German's occupation, it allowed the U.S. to liberate France from Germany's control. This was important because many men (175,000 Allied men)put their lives on the line. There was around 4,000 casualties. Also, winning this battle allowed the occupation of Germany in France to be lifted on August 25, 1944 -
The Battle of Berlin was when the Soviet Union invaded Germany. The Soviets destroyed streets, houses and businesses. They brought in 20 armies, 6,300 tanks and 8,500 aircraft. This was a key battle in WWII because it would be the last offensive battle the Allies did. This war resulted in many people dying (more than 20,000). Also, because of this battle Hitler accepted his defeat and committed suicide. This battle again made the Soviet Union look powerful because of how brutal their attack was. -
The bombing of Hiroshima is where an American plane dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima in Japan. The U.S. wanted the war to end and believed that this would end it quickly. This event is important because this bomb killed 100,000 people instantly and 100,000 more people afterwards. Not only did it kill many people, but it destroyed a portion of Hiroshima. This aggressive attack made Japan's confidence and aggression lower.
