  • Great Depression starts in the U.S

    The economy was doing very well. the rich were getting richer and buying more things, there were lots of new things thanks to the industrial revolution for people to buy. Credit cards were invented so people would buy things with moeny they did'nt have. eventuly on the day the stock market was at its peak, so everyone who invested in it wanted to pull their money out now. the banks did not have enough money causing the market to crash, people were in major debt, it is the biggest economic down.
  • Hitler becomes Chanellor of Germany

    Adolf Hitler, after spending tme in jail for treason, he starts to work his way through the goverment, helping the Nazi party and then he becomes Chancellor on this date. this is his start for control

    Also known as Kristallnacht. It was a gaiant attack on Jews in German Reich
  • Nazi Soviet PACT

    Right before the war Germany and the Soviet Union made a pact that the two countrys would not use any millitary actions against each other for the next 10 years. they did this because Hitler wanted to make sure he could invade Poland and Stalin agreed to it because he wanted to keep his nation at peacful terms with Germany and he wanted to build up his military. It fell apart in June 1941

    Britan and France had an alliance with Poland so they stood by Polands side and declared war on Germany. Soviet Union who sided with Germany invaded Poland on the estern side on September 17th 1939.
