The Germans used this method to surprise the enemy and give them the advantage. This method caused the Germans to gain a lot of land in the beginning of the war.

    On September 1st- October 6th 1939, Germany launched a surprised invasion on Poland. Hitler wanted to invade Poland because he viewed the country as more living space for the German people. This event is also what caused World War 2.

    On May 10th 1940, Germany invaded France. Germany invaded France because they and Britain declared war on them when they invaded Poland at the beginning of the war. The battle ended with France falling under German occupation.

    On December 7th, 1941 Japan launched a surprised attack on the US in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Japanese did it to weaken the American navy and air fleet so they could be more superior. This event is what brought the US into the war.
