The WW2 began on the 1st of September 1939 because Adolf Hitler launched his invasion into Poland. The Poles were heavily outnumbered in both men and machines. On the 27th of September Stalin invaded eastern Poland. Poland was now split between Hitler and Stalin.

On the 7th of December Japan attacked the US pacific fleet at the base Pearl Harbour, which left the Americans with not much fighting craft left.

The Japanese hoped it would lour the Us to surrender and negotiate but the code breakers were able to determine the time and date of Japans attacks, which helped the US create a trap of their own.
