    Germany invades Poland

Hitler chose to invade Poland because he belived he should colonize the polish and then enslave them. One tragic effect was that after Poland was conquered, Hitler killed 3 million Polish Jews in the Nazi death camps.

    Defense by United Knigdom, provided by the Royal air force to fight againist the Geramn forces. THis happened because Germany wanted to control Britian just like it did to Poland. It impacted WW2 because it saved Great Britian from ground invasion, and providing a leg up for the allied powers because
    they now know Germany can be defeated using ariel tactics.

    Operation Barbarossa was a code name for Germany to invade the Soviet Union (Ussr). This threw the Union off because they had signed a non agressions act with Germany, they would not attak. Germany broke there trust and in result the soviets declared war againist Germany, joining the allied powers.

    Japan attacked a Us naval base in Pearl Harbor because Japan wanted to nuetralize the Us pacific fleet. This action impacted WW2 greatly because that is what lead the Us to join the war againist Hitler.

    More than 60,000 soliders were forced to walk, many of those soliders were Americans and Filipinos under the Japanese control. It happened because the japanese launched a suprise attack on the Phillipenes. Brave soliders defending their country were overrun forcing to formally surrender to the Japanese. This impacted the war because it was a victory to the axis powers and because 60,000 to 80,000 people died.

    This battle was a major turning point for the allied powers. It was an intense battle over the Pacific involving many planes. The battle of Midway stopped any further attacks from Japan in the Pacific.

    Another nickname for this battle is the Ardennes Offensive. The germans wanted to attack the allies and reclaim a port in the netherlands. The battle was a sucess for the allied troops.

    A bomb was dropped a dawn by the Us. The us did it because they felt it was the only way for Japan to surrender. It caused Japan to surreder and offically end world war 2.
