    this is when Britain, Australia, New Zealand and France declare war and how they were pulled into the war due to the act on Poland to control Germany before they are out of hand,
    it is important as this is the reason why the countries said above joined the war

    Germans advanced and pushed 340k Allied soldiers back to the Dunkirk beach in nothern France, if it was not for the crews of more than 800 assemblred British boats, Britian would of had a terrible loss of 340k soldiers, they evacuated most of the troops as well as French, Dutch and Belgian soldiers. Also it did go onwards from 26th may - 4th June 1940

    When Winston Churchill steped into power, he made it obvious that he did not want peace for Germanys actions, in Hitlers retaliation he planned Operation Sea Lion, a plan that invades Britian, a plan that includes air attacks and followed by ground troops, in order it to work they needed the air control but swiftly denied the oppertuniny in thus Operation Sea Lion was a disaster
    this is important as Britian stepped up to Germany and denied Britian to them

    Drawin was hit by Japanese air raids by 90 bombers with fighter escorts. 243 people were killed in the panic and many more raids were carried on in 1942-43.
    This is important as the Japanese tried to cripple australia int he war as Darwin was the heart of Australia's military.

    Hitler has betrayed Stalin by launching an attack on them called Operation Barbarossa to achieve the original aim and the Soviet Union. The invasion used 3/4 of the German army + Hungarian and romanian forces. Stalin did not react quickly enough and many soviet planes were destroyed , but blitzkerig did not work on the Russian plains. weather slowed the German's and by december it was halted by Russian winter.
    this is important as due to this actions it gave the British empire a strong ally

    waves and waves of Japanese planes from aircraft carries sunk a US naval base at Pearl Harbour located in Hawaii, this action destroyed half the US fleet and Franklin D Roosevelt grew strong sympathy with Allies but americans did not want to be involved. The attack is important as it got Americas attentiona and soon enough they were involved in the war as they declared war

    Japan suffered a huge loss as they lost the battle of midway as the USA returned the favour as they took down some of Japans aircraft carriers this is important as it evened out the damage that was done to America and now down to Japan

    The Kokoda track was a track that soliders had to push up in the worst weather conditions, including rain making the floor of the track itself harder to push up on it is imprtant as they prevented the Japanese from taking Port Morseby
