Leader of Germany during WW2, also leader of the Nazis and starter of the Holocaust. He rose to power during Germany's depression in hopes of bringing it out of the depression. He lead Germany in this year. -

Axis/Allied Powers
The two sides of WW2 not really a point on a timeline. The US joined the Allied powers after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, this consisted of Great Britain, France, and The Soviet Union after Germany turned on them. Where as the Axis Powers consisted of Germany, Italy, and Japan. -
Japanese Embargo
This embargo stopped the trade of giving Japan oil and other products helping them in the war. This in turn cause Japan to bomb pearl harbor seeing the embargo as a war threat. -
African American Discrimination
A. Philip Randolph threatened a massive March on Washington convinced FDR to ban discrimination against blacks in the defense industry in 1941, though segregation in the armed forces persisted. -

Japan bombed Pearl Harbor as a declaration of war after the embargo America placed on the oil they were buying. -

Internment Camps
(Executive order 9066) After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Japanese Americans were looked at as dangerous during the war time against Japan. They were sent to these camps where they were treated like cattle. -
Battle of Midway
(Island Hopping) Island Hopping took place during the time of the Pacific Theater war against Japan. This was so the US could get close enough to Japan to attack it's shores directly. The battle of midway was the turning point of this theater leading to the US victory. -
Rosie the Riveter
(Women in the workplace) While men were away at war, women took over the workplace turning factories into weapon producers. Rosie was created by the government to promote women to get out and work to support the war and their families in the war. -
D-day
(Operation overlord) D-day was a battle fought on the shores of France by the US trying to push Germany away from France. This was a very bloody yet successful battle, though it wasn't believed it could have been due to the beachside invasion. -
Battle of Berlin
(V-E Day) This marked the victory of the Allies in WW2 against Germany and the other Axis powers. It is also known as Victory in Europe Day. -
Atomic Bombs/Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki took place as the ending of the Pacific Theater of war in WW2. This killed many Japanese and demolished the two cities. Taken place 3 days apart from each other. The bombs named Little boy and Fat man. -

Harry Truman became president after FDR's death and made the decision to drop the bombs on Japan to end the Pacific Theater in WW2. He ended his presidency this year.
