  • Japan invades Manchuria

    The Japanese invade Manchuria. They invaded them right after Mukden happened.
  • Munich Pact

    this was an agreement that Germany, United Kingdom, French, and the Italians signed. This permitted German annexation of the Sudetenland.
  • Kristallnacht

    was a pogrom against Jews carried out by SA paramilitary forces in Germany.
  • Neutrality Acts of 1939

    These were multiple acts passed in Congress.
  • Germany invades Poland

    This is the first event that starts WW2. The Nazis of Germany invaded Poland after signing a pact with the Soviet Union.

  • Lend-Lease Act

    This would allow the US government to lend or lease war supplies. They would supply military aid to allies.
  • Exec Order 8022

    this was an executive order passed by FDR. this executive order was for banning discrimination in employment practices by Federal agencies. It also established fair practices.
  • Atlantic Charter

    This was a statement for what the world would be like after WW2. They were for more peace.
  • Atlantic Conference

    The Atlantic Charter was a statement issued on 14 August 1941 that set out American and British goals for the world after the end of World War 2
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese made a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. This would kill a lot of people and this would enter the United States in WW2.
  • Exec Order 9066

    it was an executive order for all Japanese people in the USA. This would discriminate against them.
  • Operation Torch

    this was an invasion of french and north Africa.
  • Battle of Midway

    this was a huge naval battle. this battle took place between the US and Japan. the US won.
  • Korematsu v. United States

    this was a case in court that made the Japanese unable to fight in the war for the United States.
  • D-Day (invasion of Normandy)

    The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations. This was a huge turning point in the war. This was a deadly day.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    this was a major thing for the germans. this was for the western front.
  • Yalta Conference

    this was a meeting between the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union to discuss the postwar reorganization of Germany and Europe.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima & Nagasaki

    America just decided to absolutely wreck Japan and take them out of the picture by dropping nukes on them. America just destroyed Japans hope at WW2.
  • United Nations is created

    This is to help gain peace between countries. this helped make allies in the world to have world peace.
  • Nuremberg Trials

    a series of military tribunals held after World War 2.
  • Truman Doctrine

    an American policy to contain communist belief during the cold war.
  • Marshall Plan

    this was an aid for the western hemisphere. we gave 12 billion dollars the west for economic reasons.
  • Berlin Airlift

    The Berlin Blockade was one of the first major international crises of the Cold War.
  • Israel is established

    This made Israel a country. The US would reconize them as a country the same day.
  • Soviet Union tests Atomic Bomb

    the soviets were testing out nuclear bombs.
  • US establishes NATO

    Truman and Secretary Acheson signed the Instrument of Accession making the United States a founding member of NATO.
  • Korean Conflict

    North and south Korea got into it. North Korea wanted to dictate the South and it started the war.
  • Soviet Union launches Sputnik

    the soviet union launched their first satellite into space and beat America to it.
  • National Defense Education Act

    this would provide funds to the United States education institutions.
  • Rise of the Berlin Wall

    the communist governments started building a barb wire wall. it would separate the east and the west.
  • Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan

    this was a war between the Soviets and Afghanistan. this was a 9-year battle.
  • Fall of the Berlin Wall

    the wall would be taken down. the wall separated the east from the west.
