    The U.S and Japan fought over the island on April 9, 1939 through 1945. It was a very harsh battle that we surrendered to Japan and taken to there prison yards. They had to walk about 65 miles to the prison and the men were divided to 100 men. They would be hit by there captors and even die from it.
