  • Japanese invasion of Manchuria

    Japanese Army attacked Chinese troops in Manchuria. They were trying to gain control over the whole province, in order to eventually encompass all of East Asia. This was one of the causes of WWII
  • Hitler made chancellor of Germany

    President Paul Von Hindenburg names Adolf Hitler as Chanceloor. This is what started all the problems including the war.
  • The Anschluss

    The Anschluss is when Germany and Australia united. Hitler did not have the full approval of Austrian Social Democrats, but the rise of a pro-Nazi right-wing party within Austria paved the way for Hitler to make his move. This allowed Hitler to get stronger and have more people.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht was a massive coordinated attack on the jews in Germany. It started after a 17 year old Jew living in Paris, shot and killed a member of the German Embassy staff. This happened because they treated his father badly. The Nazis beat and murdered Jews. This is known as the Night of Brocken glass, because they broke into there homes.
  • Invasion of Poland

    Germany invades Poland and trys to take it over. This is what started WWII.
  • Dunkirk Battle

    German Amry trapped the French army and the British army along the coastline. Over 330,000 men were trapped. Boats came and rescued the soldiers. Without the boats rescuing them the British and the French army would have been killed.

    Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor. The is What made the USA start the war.
  • Bataan Death March

    Bataan Death March was when over 70,000 United Statedand Filipino prisoners that were captured during the war were forced to walk over 61miles to a camp many did mot make it to the camp. This decreased the allies side.
  • Battle of Midway

    Japan wanted to over take the Midway islands so they could destroy american ships at Hawaii. The USA sunk japans carriers and boats when they were on their way. The Battle of Midway marked the turning point of World War II in the Pacific.
  • D-Day

    160.000 Allied troops landed at the French coastline to fight Nazi Germany, more than 5,000 ships and 13,000 aircrafts supported the Allies. This was the war that helped the Allies gain some groung or catch up with Germany

    The battle of the Bulge was a major war. It was the last war of WWll.
  • Yalta Conference

    The Yalta Conference was a conference that attempted to deal with the fate of post war, in the areas that the war happened and what to do to help them. The leaders from all the big place from the allies meet.
  • The Bombing of Hiroshima

    The USA dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90% of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people. Later tens of thousands more died of radiation exposure. This caused the Allies to catch up with Japan and Germany some.
  • VJ Day

    VJ Day is when Japan surrendered to the Allies.
