Shah Jahan's birth
Shah Jahan was the favorite son of the Emperor. He was also the favorite of Akbar the great. unfortunetely, Jahan had to basically fight the rest of his family for the throne. -

when Jahan was emperor he introduced a new currency called rupees. the money was one of the first true minted coins in the world. they were all made of silver, but they had different designs on them to tell which ones were which. on a different note, rupees are a type of money in the video games called The Legend of Zelda. -

the death of a lover
Mumtaz Mahal died one day, which we do not know. Jahan, who loved Mahal like no other, decided he was going to have a great masoleum built in her honor. It took twenty years, tons of brick and marble, not to mention the jewels. It still stands today. -
The most beautiful building in the world
The Taj Mahal was built after Jahan lost his dear wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The building was her tomb as well as Jahan's when he died. The stone that made up the walls was marble. and to boot, the walls were studded with precieous jewels and gold. -
Illness befalls Jahan
Jahan one day fall terribly ill and is confined to his bed. while he lies sick and dieing his son Dara quickly takes the throne. his brothers did not like this and quickly decided to take the throne by force. -
Death of a great and powerful leader
After a long time in captivity from his son and bouts of illnesses, Shah Jahan died in his bed after reciting the passages of right. he was buried along side his beloved wife, Mahal. his son took over and preserved his fathers greatest works. -
the vastness of Shah Jahan's kingdom
By the time of his death, Jahan had increased his kingdoms size by a huge amount. At the time of his death Jahan's knigdom was about 750,000,000 acres (3,000,000 km2). that is a lot of land to control.
