Hitler narrowly loses an election to the previous president of Germany. His rising popularity seemed to frighten the government which made them create a new position to prevent some sort of revolution. He was then appointed as chancellor of Germany and later on appointed president, dictator, by the previous president which believed Hitler was Germany's savior. -
Hitler's takeover of the Rhineland
Hitler first began his showing of power when he militarized the demilitarized zone of Germany. It was against rules of the Treaty of Versailles. Yet no one seemed to respond to this act of aggression. -

Germany back stabbed Stalin by breaking his promise not to invade the Soviet Union. It resulted gravely when many Germans fell sick and died during there Russian winter. -

4 days after Japan's attack of Pearl Harbor, Germany declares war on the United States. Immediately after the US declares war on Germany and Italy. -
