    Hitler becomes Chancellor
    Hitler narrowly loses an election to the previous president of Germany. His rising popularity seemed to frighten the government which made them create a new position to prevent some sort of revolution. He was then appointed as chancellor of Germany and later on appointed president, dictator, by the previous president which believed Hitler was Germany's savior.

    Hitler's takeover of the Rhineland
    Hitler first began his showing of power when he militarized the demilitarized zone of Germany. It was against rules of the Treaty of Versailles. Yet no one seemed to respond to this act of aggression.
