    Non-Progressive Act

    This was made when Germany started gaining control of other countries and wanted to make sure that Russia does not go on the counter attack. Hitler proposes a deal with Stalin to not to attack each other and Stalin agrees because he wants his country to stay in peace. Germany wants it so the whwen they invade Poland, Russia does not come to its aid. Eventually, Germany goes back on the pact and attacks Russa unsuccesfully.
  • Germany invades Poland

    Germany invading Poland was the spark that ignited World War II. Germany promised the Soviet Union a portion of the country if they did not interfere. It took the Nazis about a month to conquer Poland. the taking over of Poland made Germany a threat.

    This is was the first battle to be faought entirely with air forces. The Germans intentions were to gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force. The Luftwaffe targeted factories, ground infrastructures and air fields to hit. the British Air force did not give up. Eventually, Hitler's Failure to make Britain surrender was a large turning point in the world

    A program when the USA gave France, Great Britain, the Republic of China and the USSR with food, oil, and materials. This act ended on August 1945. About $50.1 Billion dollars worth of supplies were sent to Europe. That is equal to about 17% of all U.S. expenditures of the war.

    The Nazi Germany invading the Soviet Union during World War II. Germany sent about 4 million soldiers to Russia. It was the largest invasion in the history of warfare. Adolf Hitler made a deal with Joseph Stallin but betrays him with the invasion.

    The first major battle of the war was against the Nazis and the soviet Russians. they were fighting for the control of Stalingrad. The battle of Stalingrad is known as the bloddiest battle in the history of warfare because of all of the air raids and assaults of the civilians. This was a turning point in the war because Germany never gained control of the east and lost alor of their soldiers.

    Battle Of The Bulge

    A german campaign through the Ardennes region of Wallonia in Belgium, France, and Luxembuorg. It was intended to recapture the harbor of Antwerp. This battle caused the most casualties of the United States sorldiers because the allied forces were caught off gaurd. This battle also depleted Germany's armored forces on the western front.

    Battle of Iwo Jima

    Battle for the island of Iwo Jima. The allied powers were fighting against the Japanese imperial army and eventually won. This was a part of the USA's successful tactic called "island Hopping". The island was used as a emergency landing strip for USAAF B-29s.
  • V-E Day

    V-E Day is a holiday celebrated for the surrender of armed forces from the Nazis. Because Hitler committed suicide on April 30, his successor, Reichsprasident Karl Donitz Authorised the surrender. Once news spread that Gernany surrended, the citezens of USA celebrated by running in the streets and in Britain, the people were crowding around the Buckingham Palace.
