The League of Nations was a system organized by President Woodrow Wilson. This was supposed to help prevent aggression between all countries. If there were an issue, countries were to negoitate, rather than be forceful. If negotiating failed, the country would not trade with the aggresssor, and if that didn't work, violenece would be involved.

Hitler takes over for Germany and immdeitaley begins to prepare weapons and armies to rebuild Germany. Hitler loved the feeling of power, and he wanted more and more. He was a malicious man who knew how to manipulate, and he was definitley a major component to WWII, if not the biggest one.

Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain said that if everyone would give in to Hitler's demands, there would be no war. This caused others to also believe that appeasement was the answer to prevent war.

Quarantine Speech Franklin D. Roosevelt gives his famous Quarantine Speech in Chicago Illinois. His speech gives the vibe that he wants to avoid a disease, which in this case is the war that is bound to happen. He wishes to isolate the U.S. from the agression surrounding them, even though it seems almost impossible.
